Synopsis for "52 Pick-Up, Chapter 3: Hexed"
Booster Gold and Rip Hunter head back to Booster's house, where his ancestor Dan explains that someone stole the Supernova suit from him. Rip then forces Booster back into the time sphere in order to fix the newest anomaly in the time stream. The chronal residue left by the intruder leads to the mid-1800's where Rip believes someone is attempting to kill Johnathan Kent's grandfather to prevent the Kents from ever raising Superman. Instead of the Kents, Lionel Luthor raises Kal-El, causing Lex Luthor to become jealous of his adopted brother and kill him.
Rip then drops Booster off in Kansas City where Jonah Hex is partaking in a quickdraw duel. Booster asks Jonah Hex if there's been any strangers asking him for favors. Jonah tells him that he'll only answer the questions if Booster can outdrink him. The two begin drinking and Booster becomes inebriated, but Jonah decides he likes Booster enough to share info with him. Booster then learns that Jonah was asked to kill the doctor who delivers Johnathan Kent's great grandfather, but turned the job down.
The unknown Supernova shows up as Booster and Skeets arrive at the doctor's house. The two time travelers fight, with Supernova endangering the doctor (whom Booster saves) and ultimately getting away before Booster can follow.
When Booster returns to the Time Sphere, they are rear-ended by Wally West and Barry Allen traveling through the time stream on the cosmic treadmill.
