Boyd Kirkland (b. November 4, 1950 – d.January 27, 2011) was a writer.
Professional History
Boyd Kirkland was an American animation director. He began his career in animation in 1979 as a layout artist. He worked as a director for the 1992 Batman: The Animated Series and then would continue to write and direct the feature film Batman & Mr. Freeze. He also is credited as sequence director and storyboard artist for the Batman: Mask of the Phantasm movie.
Kirkland is also best known for his work as writer, director and producer on Marvel Animated Series such as X-Men: Evolution and The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes!
Personal History
Kirkland was born and raised in Utah. He attended college at the Weber State College in Ogden, Utah; where he received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He suffered from lung diseases wich would be the cause of his death in 2011.
