Brainiac 8, also known as Indigo, was a member of the Fatal Five.
History
Fatal Five
In order to prevent her future defeat, Emerald Empress has assembled a new Fatal Five: Selena, Indigo, Magog, Solomon Grundy and herself.
Indigo heads to Limbo Town accompanied by Emerald Empress and Magog to break the sorceress Selena out of jail and get her join the new Fatal Five. Selena had already freed herself when they arrive, but Indigo tells her to come with them and retake her "infamy as the Heir of Ataxia".
Supergirl attempted to calm everyone down, but all of sudden Indigo lunged at her, intending to kill her. Kara didn't dare fight back for fear of hurting the innocent bystanders, but Zor-El abruptly intervened and tore her into pieces. Mister Bones ordered to get Magog and the remains of Indigo shipped to Mokkari.[1]
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Android Body: Indigo is an extremely advanced android from the future.
- Energy Projection: Indigo can project powerful energy blasts from her eyes.[1]
- Flight: Indigo can fly at high speeds.[2]
- Superhuman Strength: Indigo was strong enough to lift a car and defeat the clone of Solomon Grundy.[2] She also displayed enough strength o hurt Supergirl with her blows.[1]
- Superhuman Durability: As an android Indigo had an high degree of resistance to damage but an enraged Zor-El was able to quickly kill her.[1]
- Sound Manipulation
- Mechanokinesis
- Enhanced Intellect: Indigo's intelligence allows her to instantly perform extremely complex calculations.[2]
- Metamorphosis: Indigo can shape-shift parts of her body into blunt weapons.[1]

- Restricted Senses: Indigo does not feel emotions.[2]
Notes
- Brainiac 8 was created by Judd Winick and Alé Garza, first appearing in Titans/Young Justice: Graduation Day #1. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Brainiac 8 first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Supergirl (Volume 7) #10 by Steve Orlando.
