Branden

Branden is a Gotham City police officer who commanded the GCPD's SWAT team. He was well known for careless police brutality, not caring about civilian casualties. His violent tactics were tolerated under the corrupt administration of Commissioner Loeb. This made him an enemy to the Batman and James Gordon. Eventually he was murdered by the Hangman Killer during Dark Victory. Branden was created by Frank Miller and Dave Mazzucchelli, first appearing in Batman #405. (1987)
