Breakdowns was the name of a Justice League International story arc. It concluded the run of their original creator Keith Giffen, and marked a shift towards less humorous stories involving the League. This name was later used by writer Dan Jurgens on his JLI reboot during The New 52. The storyline Breakdown is his conclusion to this version of the League, as they are dissolved by the United Nations. Roland Norcutt is a super-villain who fights the JLI using this name. He is the leader of a terrorist cell calling themselves the Burners. In the Wildstorm Universe, Holly Denton uses this name as a member of Gen 14. Her special power is to liquidate objects.
