The Bride, also known as Lady Frankenstein, is an agent of S.H.A.D.E. and does not want to be the Bride of Frankenstein.

Origin

The entity called the Bride was created by Dr. Victor Frankenstein to be a companion to his most famous creation, the creature known as Frankenstein. Unfortunately for Frankenstein, she rejected him, as he was not her type. That is to say, "alive." Following the Frankenstein Monster's assumed death in the Arctic, as shown in Mary Shelley's novel, the Bride wandered the Earth.

Sometime in the 20th or 21st Century, a supervillain called the Red Swami brainwashed her, grafted two extra arms onto her and tried to pass her off as the reincarnation of an assassin goddess, presumably Kali. It took seven S.H.A.D.E. agents to take her down. After that, she joined the organization.

When Frankenstein showed up in the town of Salvation Valley to combat a wetform AI based on Chemo, the Bride showed up to assist him, following him joining S.H.A.D.E. The town turned out to have been terminally infected by the wetform, in a deliberate act of sabotage by Pilot Zbigniew X, a S.H.A.D.E. agent. As they could not afford to lose $3,000,000,000 of superagent, the Bride decapitated Ziggy with a pane of glass, preserving his head.
