Brimstone is a giant, animate weapon from Apokolips, worshipped as a god by the Brimstone Brotherhood.
History
Brimstone was prevented from destroying the city of Dallas by the superhero Goldrush,[1] and though he was destroyed, the Brimstone Brotherhood death cult sought his resurrection.[2]
Three manifestations of Brimstone were faced by the Justice League in the course of a single year,[3] and army of human-sized Brimstones, able to combine into a larger form, laid waste to the city of Metropolis and did battle with its defenders the Super-Family.[4]

- Brimstone was created by John Ostrander and John Byrne, first appearing in Legends #1. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Brimstone first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Superwoman Special #1 by Joshua Williamson and Nikola Čižmešija.
- However, he was first mentioned in Justice League (Volume 2) #18.
