Bristol Township is a civil township in New Jersey. Located on the mainland directly North of Gotham City, it is home to many of its affluent citizens, including Bruce Wayne.

History

Access to Gotham City is provided by way of the R. Kane Memorial Bridge, or the Gotham County underwater railroad tunnels. Bristol is connected to Sommerset Township in the west via the Mooney Bridge.[1]

The foundation of the village dates back to the Revolutionary War, when patriot Darius Wayne constructed the family estate commonly known as Wayne Manor. For over a century following Darius' death, the property remained largely ignored until Darius' descendants Charles Arvin Wayne and his sons arrived from Boston to settle down in Crest Hill, Bristol Township. They restored the manor to its former glory and it has remained in the family ever since. The manor is currently occupied by Bruce Wayne. Other notable residents of the Crest Hill neighborhood include J. Devlin Davenport, a millionaire socialite, as well as the late Jack Drake and his widow, Dana Winters Drake. Many of Crest Hill's residents abandoned the community after the No Man's Land Declaration, but have since returned following Lex Luthor's multi-billion dollar restoration project.
