Batman was a vigilante operating out of Gotham City, he was killed trying to stop Lois Lane, who was killing criminals without trial.

History

Batman knew the late Superman, and was always pitied by the latter.

When Lois incinerated the Joker, Batman arrived, horrified. He tried to tell her what she did was evil, but Lois furiously lashed out, saying the superheroes' way was ineffective. When Batman tried to ask her if Clark was ineffective, Lois then stated she would not let him die in vain. When Batman pointed out she already was letting him die in vain by mercilessly killing, she attacked him. Though Batman fought valiantly, he was ultimately no match, and was killed by Lois's heat vision.
