Seems like the Island creates a sort of... Snapshot of those who escape. 
Batman is a duplicate, of the Prime Earth Batman, created when Batman escaped from The Loop.
History
After Prime Earth Batman finally escaped The Loop after his battle against Snake Eyes, a snapshot of him was created by The Loop. This Snapshot of Batman lived in The Loop where he met a Snapshot of Prime Earth Catwoman and the two teamed up like their original selves did before them, with Batman crafting his own armor while Catwoman stole the helmet of another Looper. When Prime Earth Batman and Catwoman were attempting to leave the Loop with Harley Quinn, their respective Snapshots fought them but were ultimately distracted by a bomb Prime Earth Batman threw, and they were left on the Island.[1]
