Bryndon Smith was a member of the Atomic Knights in a world destroyed by nuclear war.

Bryndon Smith was a scientist in the years before the war. Afterwards, like many humans, he found life rather hard. When Gardner Grayle was looking for help to stop the Black Baron, he volunteered. His skills proved useful, as he invented many things and solved many of their day to day problems.

  • This version of Bryndon Smith (Earth-86), including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022-2023. Even though other versions of the character may have appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
  • Bryndon Smith apparently dies in Hercules Unbound Vol 1 10; however, this story takes place shortly after the 1986 atomic war; Bryndon appeared alive in 1990 (Strange Adventures Vol 1 132), thus we could conclude that he was only apparently dead and returned under unexplained circumstances. However, in DC Comics Presents Vol 1 57, Gardner Grayle confirms his death. Yet, that was an Earth-86 virtual reality analogue on Grayle's mind. During Convergence, Bryndon is seen alive, but it can be due Telos has extracted Durvale (Knights' city) from its time before Bryndon's death (at example, Plastic Man was also summoned prior his death on Earth-X). Finally, we can see 6 Atomic Knights in DC Holiday Special 2017 Vol 1 1, but Bryndon, if among them, is unnamed. Then, judge for yourself whether Bryndon died or not.
