The Doom Patrol were assigned to infiltrate a secret base in Buena Suerte. There they discovered a breeding ground for biological constructs, created by Doctor Amanda Beckett. As the newly alerted military forces move in, the Doom Patrol was attacked by the "monsters". Elasti-Girl quelled the doctor's attack and Negative Man destroyed the remaining pods of monsters. Nudge was shot to pieces on the island, and Grunt was last seen flying off in an uncontrollable rage with her corpse.
