Bull's-Eye, formerly known as Leapo, was a famous circus acrobat turned criminal, using his agility to commit crimes. He tends to be very revenge-driven.
History
Leapo was arrested and sentenced to prison by DA John W. Franks, and after breaking out through the sewers with two other criminals, he kidnapped Franks and posed him at a shooting range during a competition. Green Arrow and Speedy tried to stop the participants, but the were too late. Taking up the new moniker of Bull's-Eye and hiding out as a clown at a circus, he was eventually thwarted by Green Arrow and Speedy, but vowed revenge.[1]
He escaped prison once more and enacted a number of revenge plots against Green Arrow and Speedy, managing to slip away each time.[2] Using his Crime Target in his hideout, he determined other crimes to commit, such as stealing electronics,[3] and eye-based jewelry.[4] He tried to get the archers to quit by having someone tamper with their arrows to make them believe they lost their touch and could longer aim properly.[5]
Bull's-Eye later faked his death after a fight on the water, where Green Arrow fired an arrow that pierced the hull of Bulls-Eye's boat. Speedy speculated that he drowned, but Green Arrow doubted this.[6] Bull's-Eye came across an archer called 'Limpy' Joe, who was actually Green Arrow in disguise, and tried to set up a duel to take down the Emerald Archer. This, of course, backfired, and he was jailed once more.[7] He would have one more encounter with the bowmen where he replaced their quivers with fake trick arrows, like rubber arrows and arrows that disintegrated in midair. After defeating Bull's-Eye again, Green Arrow and Speedy hung Bull's-Eye bag pierced with an arrow, as a reminder of how they "bagged the Bull's-Eye."[8]
