The Burning World are former comrades of Rustam, freed from incarceration at Blackgate Penitentiary for his campaign against his former superior Amanda Waller and her Suicide Squad.

- The Burning World's members are based on those of the Jihad, which was created by John Ostrander and Luke McDonnell, first appearing in Suicide Squad #1.
