Byrna Brilyant (Prime Earth)

This section of the history takes place during the New 52, between the events of Flashpoint and DC Rebirth. It was later revealed that much of Wonder Woman's history from this time was an elaborate illusion created by the Gods of Olympus to keep her away from Paradise Island. All or part of this section may have been part of that illusion and no longer valid in Rebirth.

Blue Snowman was battling Wonder Woman and her ally Hessia with their own band of robot minions.^[3]

DC Rebirth

The Blue Snowman, as it was named by the press of Washington D.C., was a giant exo-mecha created from different stolen technologies by Byrna Brilyant, who had been hired by Veronica Cale among other villains to attack Wonder Woman. The suit had further tech that controlled the temperature and moisture around it, being able to create blue snow. Brilyant had their cerebellum wired into the suit, so it became an extension of their own movements. So when Diana crashed the suit, their brain crashed with it. Only then did Diana learn that the Blue Snowman was actually assigned female at birth.^[4]

Byrna Brilyant would again cause trouble for Wonder Woman when they were paid by someone unknown to end the romantic Valentine's Day dinner of Diana Prince and Steve Trevor. After being defeated by the couple's joint work, it was revealed that inside the Blue Snowman robot suit there was actually someone appearing to be a woman (strangely, it seems that the previous meeting between the villain and Diana was forgotten). They revealed that they did not name themselves Blue Snowman because they wanted to be called a girl, and that sometimes they know that they are a guy, and sometimes they are not. As they believed themselves a freak and because of that they could never be loved, they hated Valentine's Day. However, when a young person approached them and told them that he was also genderfluid and that they, while it was rough, were not freaks. Byrna discovered that there was a name for that and that they had a lot to process. Diana let them go, praying that their new insights would bring them peace before they met again.^[5]

The Blue Snowman Exo-Mecha: Byrna Brilyant has so far worn two different suits, one giant^[4] and one of normal human proportions,^[5] but both had the same ability to create blue ice.
- Cryokinesis: Blue Snowman can shoot blasts of cryogenic energy capable of of creating blue ice, a structurally fixed substance so durable that not even Wonder Woman can break without the aid of her sword.^[5]
- Superhuman Strength: The Blue Snowman Exo-Mecha enhances its wearer strength to the point where it can engage Wonder Woman in a physical fight.^[5]
- Superhuman Durability: The Exo-Mecha allows Byrna to take many hits from Wonder Woman without suffering damage, although the suit outer shell was cracked by the power of the blows.^[5]

Blue Snowman was created by Joye Murchison and Harry G. Peter, first appearing in Sensation Comics #59. However, Blue Snowman first appeared as part of Prime Earth continuity in Superman/Wonder Woman #4 by Charles Soule and Tony S. Daniel.
