C.O.M.P.U.T.O. was an AI built by Brainiac 5 to assist him and a handful of other Legionnaires return back to the 30th century.

Origin

20th Century

While a handful of the Legionnaires were trapped in the late 20th century, Brainiac 5 combined a Responsometer, a Mother Box, and an Omnicom and built a supercomputer in the hopes that it could create a portal for them to return home to the 30th century. This supercomputer was called the Cybercerebral Overlapping Multi-Processor Universal Transceiver Operator, or C.O.M.P.U.T.O. While cooperative at first, C.O.M.P.U.T.O. quickly rebelled under the assumption that its parent, Brainiac 5, was going to get rid of it once it had fulfilled its purpose.

C.O.M.P.U.T.O possessed one of Triad's bodies and used her to attempt world domination. It was seemingly destroyed by Superman, and the Legionnaires returned home. In reality, C.O.M.P.U.T.O. went into hiding for the next thousand years.
