Calliope is the kind and tortured Greek muse of epic poetry and the former wife of Dream of the Endless.
History
In the distant past, Calliope married Dream of the Endless, and they had a son, Orpheus. After his death, the two were estranged.
In the modern day, Calliope was enslaved to Erasmus Fry, who raped her repeatedly to get the inspiration to become a renowned author. She was eventually traded to Richard Madoc, a one-hit author who initially tried to coax her into giving him inspiration before deciding to rape her repeatedly like Fry did.
Calliope was eventually saved by her estranged husband.[1]
