Synopsis for "...Show On The Road!"

With his powers restored, Captain Atom breaks Major Force free from his black matter cocoon. Afterwards, General Eiling and Professor Megala prepare to disclose the Silver Shield to Nate and Zmeck before the General firmly orders his former underling Homer Lockleed out of the disclosure. Megala sends Babylon to keep Lockleed company.

In 1967, twelve-year-old Babylon - Robert Long - is kept out of an important meeting between his parents and Megala and Sarrok. The professors are inviting the Longs to join in the recovery of an alien spaceship.

Nate and Zmeck are inform of Project Silver Shield, an extraterrestrial spaceship in which its hull was the source for Captain Atom and Major Force's quantum powers and help them functioning in their metallic state. When they moved Silver Shield, exposing it to movement and sunlight, it reactivated; the shock of being cut off from the Quantum Field caused Zmeck to freeze in matter and nearly killing Nate. It was not until Sarrok, a former member of Project Silver Shield, made "adjustments" which reduced the quantum static and stabilizing Nate and Zmeck's powers though not at their fully capacity.

But there is more that Eiling want to show to Nate and Zmeck: on the previous night the Silver Shield has shrunken to more than the size of a fully grown man before it suddenly flown out of the facility while wounding Allard and Uber in the process. As Nate and Zmeck's quantum frequency are tied to Silver Shield, they are order to work together to find the spaceship. With Allard and Uber hospitalized, Lieutenant Randy Eiling is serving as their replacement.

Meanwhile, Jeff Goslin seeks out Sally Stone to know if she has any information on Peggy's whereabouts after she broke up with him. But Sally swears that she doesn't know where Peggy is as she hasn't seen or heard from her for weeks.

Nate and Zmeck are at the last known location of Silver Shield but aren't having any luck in tracking it. Zmeck idly wonders if the object flew into space or if it isn't a spaceship at all, leaving Nate to speculate if Silver Shield is some sort of "robot-ship". Unknown to the rest of Project Captain Atom, Nate is secretly communicating with Sarrok via telepathy, as the doctor tells Nate his story of how he and his companions first found Silver Shield in Nevada, where it is currently located.

Sarrok, Megala, and the Longs journey to the Nevada desert where they find the silver spaceship. The group studies the object and conducting a series of test on it, and trying to penetrate the metal without any success. When Damon Long attempt to use an X-Ionized knife to take a small sample of the metal, Sarrok yells out to stop.

Nate and Zmeck are drop off in Nevada and finally found Silver Shield. The two comes into battle with the object that has taken their powers and using it against them. The battle unexpectedly ends when Silver Shield suddenly "connect" with Nate and Zmeck, completely restoring of their powers and in turn to create a new form: a humanoid being with four arms and no face. The Silver Shield is not a spaceship, it is a sentient being.
