Synopsis for Capt. Marvel, Jr.: "Capt. Marvel, Jr. Battles The Spacemaster!"
Freddy Freeman is stargazing with Prof. Edgewise, Leroy Marks and Officer Jim Bellows and enjoy the look… before the stars move to read SURRENDER OR PERISH! THE SPACEMASTER. Mrs. Wagner promptly faints and Prof. Edgewise pretends it was an “optical illusion.” The next night, the stars read LAST WARNING! From the Spacemaster. Soon, Officer Jim gets a call from Police HQ saying that a riot has started over people wanting to surrender to the Spacemaster, so Freddy goes out to call CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Captain Marvel, Jr. to defeat the man rousing the rabble and says he’ll personally look into the Spacemaster. The Spacemaster offers the next night TONIGHT I STRIKE and fights off a shower of meteors coming at the Earth and breaks them to pieces, though people are still pretty worried that he can rain meteors on them at all. Junior insists that it’s likely a form of trickery he’s using and Prof. Edgewise soon finds that the planets seem to be moving too and theorizes that there’s some kind of “magnetic repulsion” causing this. Junior soon flies out to an electrical appliance factory and borrows a “magnetic tracker” to find the magnetic signals are coming from a mountain and soon finds the Spacemaster is an evil bald scientist before Junior punches him out and destroys his magnetic machine. Back at Mrs. Wagner’s, the Professor says that the magnetic machine was bending light-waves to make the stars look like they’d “moved” and Freddy notes that he hired goons to incite riots to make people worried and upset. Everyone is happy the stars are back to normal.

Synopsis for Capt. Marvel, Jr.: "Capt. Marvel, Jr. and The History Hoax!"
Sivana, Jr. is upset that having stolen $20,000,000, but can’t buy happiness, since he’s still not the Prince of the Universe and all of his plans have failed. In his depression, he comes up with a new idea and creates a time machine shaped like a sphere and takes off for April 30th, 1803 wherein American envoys James Monroe and Robert R Livingston are negotiating the Louisiana Purchase from Emperor Napoléon and buys it for $16,000,000, outbidding the Americans and then returns to the future where it becomes front-page news. Freddy Freeman is naturally suspicious that Sivana, Jr. is claiming most of America as his own and calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Captain Marvel, Jr. and flies in to punch over Young Thaddeus… only for Federal Commissioners to say that it’s legal! Mass evacuations begin, Sivana, Jr.’s goons start emptying bank vaults and throwing dissenters into concentration camps. Junior hits the books and finds the right letter he needs from Napoléon and flies off to punch out Sivana, Jr.’s guards, finding he’s created atom bombs to wipe out the rest of the world (or threaten them to become Prince of the Universe again.) Junior disarms his nuclear arsenal and destroys the launch platforms, then shows that technically the thousand-dollar bills he used for the Louisiana Purchase were those with Pres. Cleveland on them, meaning they’re not legitimate currency in 1803 and that the day after Sivana, Jr. did so, Napoléon canceled his sale and signed a new one with Monroe and Livingston, then carries him to prison. Later, Freddy says that this explains a two-day delay in signing the Louisiana Purchase, on May 2nd instead of April 30th.

Synopsis for Capt. Marvel, Jr.: "Capt. Marvel, Jr. and The Invisible Guest!"
A hobo has come to Mrs. Wagner’s asking for handout food for the fifth day in a row and she refuses him, saying if he wants something, he’ll have to work for it by clearing some junk behind her house, which he is almost entirely averse to. Instead, he just pilfers a cherry soda off her windowsill. Moments later, Prof. Edgewise says he has a liquid that will make anything invisible, but presumes that the bottle is now also invisible. Freddy Freeman points out that the hobo took it and drank it, calling CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Captain Marvel, Jr. just as the Hobo turns invisible. The Invisible Hobo decides to kick a cop in the shin, sing loudly and eats the whole hunk of roast Mrs. Wagner made for dinner. Red angrily accuses Leroy of doing this, but Leroy points that he’s not at the table either. They hear someone burp, but see no one and they soon tackle the empty chair… but find the hobo is already gone. Freddy calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Junior again and seals the doors until the Invisible Hobo kicks him in the pants and snickers to himself, revealing his name is Percival Debstutter and Junior almost catches him at the stairs, but ends up breaking Mrs. Wagner’s vase instead. Over the days continuing, the boarders are upset that they’ve been annoyed by Invisible Percival until Junior dumps paint on his head when he sneaks into Freddy’s room to try to get some sleep. Junior forces Percival, now visible again, to do chores to make up for all he’s pilfered.

Trivia
- The $1,000 bill wouldn't be invented until 1862 and featured US Senator Robert Morris (Pennsylvania) or, later, Governor DeWitt Clinton of New York. The ones with Pres. Cleveland wouldn't be released until 1928. They are still legal tender, but new ones have yet to be printed as they were recalled in 1969.
- This issue seems to confirm that Officer Jim Bellows also lives at Mrs. Wagner's Boarding House.
