I'm the coward! I-I was afraid to stand up for my rights! You see, the Council of Giants decreed I'd have to go back to playing with the children! But even children were too rough! When I told them so, they laughed and bullied me! I-I guess I'm a misfit! Nineteen years old... and too weak even to play children's games!

Synopsis for Capt. Marvel, Jr.: "Capt. Marvel, Jr. Meets the Littlest Giant!"

Sarkum is a disappointing Giant who is only 6’11” and can only lift a mere 75’ tall tree and isn’t strong enough to fight a black bear. The other Giants form a council and decide that he’s to be given one more chance to regain his honor as a Giant by climbing a mountain and dislodging Dinosaur Rock, a large stegosaurus’ head-shaped outcropping that bothers their sunlight. However, Freddy Freeman is currently vacationing at Dinosaur Rock Inn to see the landmark with his friend, Mr. EJ Hillsop. Dinosaur Rock starts to fall over from being shoved and Freddy calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Captain Marvel, Jr. to push it back into place. Junior soon hears Sarkum angrily complaining that he’s to be ostracized from Giant society and apologizes, not realizing that it was a danger to the people nearby. Junior decides to head back to the inn so Freddy can enjoy his vacation. The Hillsops tell him that their son was lost in the mountains for weeks at the age of 4 and disappeared and Freddy finds he looks just like Sarkum and Mr. Hillsop notes he’d be around 19 by now. Freddy offers that he may be on the other side of the mountain, but Mr. Hillsop says that nobody goes there, due to rumors that Giants live in the valley.

Thus, Junior goes to the Giant Village and finds young boy Giants pelting Sarkum with big rocks. Junior threatens to spank the misbehaving children and finds that Sarkum is also 19 and flies him to the Hillsops, who both are happy to see that they have a son (recognizing he has the same birthmark) and one who is strong enough to help them in their old age, since his strength is helpful to a human couple. Later, Freddy finds that Sarkum Hillsop has won a strongman contest.

Synopsis for Capt. Marvel, Jr.: "Capt. Marvel, Jr. and The Horrible Nightmare of Freddy Freeman"

Freddy Freeman is having a bad dream where he’s been bound to a chair and gagged in Mrs. Wagner’s kitchen while Prof. Edgewise wanders in, doesn’t help Freddy, and walks into the fridge because he doesn’t have his glasses on, then goes to get a coat from his room. Mrs. Wagner soon enters and is only worried that the fire will melt the ice cream in her fridge too. Freddy gets an idea how to escape… and then he wakes up. Freddy notes that he’s had this nightmare all week and it ruins his ability to get sleep. Later, he reads in the Evening Star that a mad arsonist is lighting fires in town, who he’s also been working all week now, which he reasons is why he’s had this nightmare and calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Captain Marvel, Jr. when he hears people shouting FIRE. He hears that a superintendent is trapped in the cellar and helps him out (having passed out from smoke) and punches a hole in the water main to help put out the fire and drops him off with Officer Jim Bellows, who gets him into an ambulance. Junior says after fixing the water main and draining the cellar out again, this was no accident and this was likely the work of that Mad Arsonist. That night, Freddy finds he can’t sleep due to apprehension about that nightmare again and hopes if he stays up, maybe he won’t have as many dreams. However, the Mad Arsonist is in Mrs. Wagner’s kitchen, knocks him out with a torch against his head and Freddy finds his horrible nightmare… has come true (including the Professor being useless and Mrs. Wagner running off unhelpfully.) Luckily, Freddy also remembers what he saw in the dream and uses his bound hands to turn on the stove and singe off his gag on a burner, calling CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Captain Marvel, Jr. and put out the fire with a barrel he fills repeatedly with dirt, then punches out the arsonist. He’s soon arrested and Officer Bellows says he’d escaped from an asylum. The Professor and Mrs. Wagner are mildly embarrassed that their antics nearly got Freddy killed in a fire… but Freddy finds he still can’t sleep as he’s too busy wondering how that dream was so much like reality now...
