Synopsis for "The Grumbling Genie"
Timothy Q. Peabody is completely whipped by his domineering wife. When ordered to clean up the attic, among the junk he finds a magic lamp, and orders the genie to do his job for him, over the creature's complaints that all people do is work genies because they can't complain. Peabody soon has the genie spank his wife in revenge (which gets Jr.'s attention), then attack the boss he dislikes, again over the genie's protests. Arab thief Dullah Krushid, a previous owner of the lamp, attacks Peabody to get it back. While Krushid's robbing a jewelry store, Captain Marvel Jr. appears and knocks him out. In command of the lamp, Jr. has him drop Krushid off at the nearest precinct, then deliver a stack of old paper to the war office. Having done a good deed, the genie's free of his servitude, and without his mystical servant, Tim Peabody's back to being henpecked by his wife again.

Under coercion, the professor reveals Jr.'s really "a crippled newsboy". The gangster kidnaps Freddy, or so he thinks, as Captain Marvel Jr. soon arrives to defeat the gangster and rescue Freddy.
