Quote1 Oh, the shame of it... I, Erasmus Jones, the World's Greatest Inventor, treated like a bum! I'll call somebody and borrow some money. I forgot! The telephone company disconnected my phone because I owe so much money. I'll turn on the lights and... Oops! My lights have been shut off, too! This is the end! Quote2

Synopsis for Capt. Marvel, Jr.: "Capt. Marvel, Jr. Meets the Amazing Mr. Meteor!"

Erasmus Jones finds he can’t play his rent to Mr. Sharpe, despite being a famed inventor. He goes to call someone to borrow some money, but find that his phone has been shut off by the company. Further, his electricity has been shut off too. He angrily decides to turn to crime to make money out of his science and creates a Rocket-Driven Flying Harness, which is essentially a jet pack. He decides instead of selling it for $100,000 and instead decides to use it for a criminal career as “Mr. Meteor!” He soon crashes into a downtown store where they’re putting money away in a safe, racing back out faster than anyone can see. Freddy is peddling papers until Mr. Meteor crashes in and steals a paper from him. He quickly calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Captain Marvel Junior. He soon tracks down Mr. Meteor deciding he’ll steal an umbrella, only to be quickly reminded that the World’s Mightiest Boy is on the job, then starts firing around with his maneuverable jet-pack, then unleashes a smokescreen to escape from him. Mr. Meteor soon finds no sign of Junior from his hideout, but soon realizes he hasn’t eaten in a few days. Mr. Meteor begins raiding a local diner and throws a custard pie in a man’s face. Junior punches him through a plate-glass window and then breaks part of his jet-pack, but it turns out to be the smokescreen part. Mr. Meteor seizes a young girl off the street to hang her off a radio antenna, which naturally forces Junior to save her. He follows a smoke trail after saving the girl and finds his hideout. Mr. Meteor tries to shove a dresser onto him and tries to scarper out a window, but Junior grabs him by the ankle, making his jet-pack burn out of fuel. Mr. Meteor is sent to jail where he realizes there’s no fast track to success.

Synopsis for Capt. Marvel, Jr.: "Capt. Marvel, Jr. On Trial for His Own Murder!"

Captain Marvel Junior is trailing some goons to the gates of a west coast shipyard where they shoot their way in. He fights off a man holding a torch and some other goons. One of them, X-7, dumps an LCT off to fall on Junior and they guess he’s probably dead and that their boss will be fine with what they’ve done, even if they didn’t get to burn down the factory. Junior looks over some plans they had for the powerhouse at Boulder Dam, where they’re going to strike next! In order to lure them out, he has the Daily Star report that Captain Marvel, Jr. is dead, according to the night watchman. Seeing someone they think can’t be Junior is there and random people assume he’s a saboteur and charges with the death of Captain Marvel Junior! Junior realizes that he can easily leave or prove that he’s the real deal, but he wants their leader to come out of hiding. The saboteurs report to their boss, Dr. Hugo, a fifth columnist who is working in the system to try to get Junior convicted of murder and executed by the State of New York! The next day, Dr. Hugo is brought in to look over Junior and makes it sound like Junior isn’t looking very healthy.

In court, the prosecution grills Junior on the bench, pointing out he does seem to be wearing his clothes. Junior points out “This is his uniform!” He is offered to bend a bar of metal, which Junior feigns not being able to bend it at all, meaning he could only be one person: the killer. Dr. Hugo later testifies that Junior is a homicidal maniac and Captain Marvel Junior is soon sentenced to death by electrocution. As his execution is announced on public radio, Dr. Hugo and his fifth columnists decide to blow the Boulder Dam. The State of New York tries going for 10x normal execution voltage, meaning that he really is Captain Marvel, Jr. and they were all fools to think he wasn’t. He flies out and arrives at the Boulder Dam, returning to being Freddy to hide out. He heads to the Scenic Gallery and finds that they’re packing dynamite into sacks, only for them to seize him and tie him up, leaving him bound and gagged in a barrel to ride over Boulder Dam! Freddy is able to slip his gag once he’s on the edge of the dam and calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Captain Marvel Junior. He quickly dashes in and leaps on the dynamite, letting it go off against his body, then flies out to knock out the spies and finds that their leader was Dr. Hugo all along. Junior states later that Dr. Hugo is serving a life sentence and he isn’t laughing so much anymore.

Synopsis for Capt. Marvel, Jr.: "Capt. Marvel, Jr. and the Secret of Skull Island!"

An American ship is steaming across the Pacific when they pile up on to a reef. The General of the Army and Admiral of the Navy both agree that it’s probably the Imperial Japanese Navy. Freddy is astonished to read about it in the papers and calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Captain Marvel Junior. Junior soon finds that the all the reefs seem to be near Skull Island, an uninhabited rock in the middle of the Pacific. However, in the caverns below, the evil General Nippo is working along the villainous Dr. Satsu, showing that he’s invented a new flying shark that also loves eating human blood and are trained like bloodhounds to especially attack Americans! They also use Viva-Rays to make them grow into giant flying sharks in the course of weeks! Junior soon finds the Flying Sharks and lets one of them drag him to the secret underground cave, punching both villains into a wall and destroying the flying sharks’ tank with a big ax. Gen. Nippo is thrown into a flying shark tank and is bitten by one, but he just shouts angrily at it and manages to escape into the caves. Using the General’s torn pants, he trains the other Flying Sharks to attack Tōkyō. Freddy writes in his diary later that he was able to kill off the Sharks, attack the Imperial Japanese Army and also saved some troops from Skull Island too!
