A thief scarpers from the American Stamp Collectors’ Guild. Freddy spots him and calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to get involved as Captain Marvel Junior. He drags the man mailing something off and the Stamp Collectors say he’s Fred Renton and he’s just stolen rare and valuable stamps! However, he’s also adamant that Junior won’t be able to convict him! Although the Police Captain puts the stamps in a box for evidence, they find that the stamps have turned to dust while inside it and entirely dismiss the case. Freddy reads about his acquittal in the Daily Blah, but Freddy is stunned to find his own papers turning into dust too after Renton passes by. He calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Junior again and looks into Renton’s house, then heads back in as Freddy to ask to see his collection. Renton says that he’s got a big Stamp Exhibition to get to, but recognizes him as someone who sold papers accusing him of theft and shoves Freddy’s entire stamp collection into his mouth. He shows off a big tank of liquid he uses that just turns paper into dust. Freddy shoves his face into the desk to knock over the atomizer and spray it on his own face, dusting the paper so he can call CAPTAIN MARVEL. He becomes Captain Marvel, Jr. as he finds the gas is strong enough to destroy his wallpaper and books, then finds Renton has delivered something to himself. He opens it and finds one of the stolen stamps within and takes off to find Renton, who threatens to smash the bottle, destroying all paper products in the city, so Junior punches him over and catches the bottle himself. Later, Freddy read about how the Stamp Thief went to prison and his gas was destroyed.
