Then, much to Firth's frustration, it turns out Killer Bane was already arrested and is in the cell next to him. Synopsis for Capt. Marvel, Jr.: "Capt. Marvel, Jr. and the Mystery of the Missing Trains"

A westbound freight train run by Engineer Hank is confusing a newcomer to the train, finding they're going into an unfamiliar tunnel, something highly unusual for trains. They find there's a dead end ahead and hit the brakes and find that there also doesn't seem to be any exit where they came in. They find they're trapped and knockout gas begins to flood the chamber… At home, Freddy Freeman hears about a third westbound freight train going missing and people are not riding trains anymore due to this. Railroad officials claim they'll look into it themselves by taking a train west that afternoon, so Freddy calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to help them as Captain Marvel, Jr. He flies off to stop them, saying he'll take the train in their place and Sivana, Jr. activates a special dummy spur that turns the train into a constructed tunnel he's invented. Junior drives the train into the tunnel, puts on the brake, finds it's been sealed shut and breaks through a wall to find a large pile of stolen military-grade artillery stolen from freight trains. To look around more easily, he returns to being Freddy Freeman, only for Sivana, Jr. to knock him out by throwing the blunt end of a railroad spike at his head, then leaves him bound to the tracks and gagged. The train officials reveal they just took the second train out, thinking the problem was solved. Freddy slips his gag on a railroad spike near his face and calls CAPTAIN MARVEL to become Captain Marvel, Jr. Below, Sivana, Jr. is trashing the trains themselves into ammunition so he can seize military control as “Prince of the Universe.” Junior flies in and punches him out, dragging him into the gas to then punch him out, break his artillery collection, then drags him back to reform school.

Olympus, Zeus handed out awards to the beautiful goddesses who create the other seasons, but accidentally forgot Winter and insulted her, which she overheard. Filled with divine fury, Winter imprisoned the other seasons and decreed Winter would be the only season thenceforth. Captain Marvel Jr. seizes Winter and flies her around, making her see how miserable everyone is with their livelihoods ruined and lives ticking away because of the merciless cold.
