Synopsis for "The Robot Hunt"

Sterling Morris would like to join a prestigious hunting club, but he's too soft-hearted to shoot an innocent animal. Seeing that Doc Quartz has made Timmy Tinkle a robot dog for companionship, Morris asks him to make an assortment of robot animals he could hunt without any pangs of conscience. After they run rampant, Captain Marvel's about to destroy them, but Timmy reminds them he's a robot who's practically alive, and in his eyes this would be murder. To appease his friend and also keep the robots from doing any harm, they establish a zoo of the robot animals.

Synopsis for "Captain Marvel and the Curse of the Black Thumb"

Billy visits Cissie Sommerly as she tends to her garden, but accidentally wakes the garden gnome who lives there by dropping a stone down the hole where he lives. In his annoyance, he curses her and Captain Marvel both with "the black thumb," which makes any plant near them wither and die. This comes back to haunt the gnome when he finds himself targeted by a hungry fox, and no plants around to hide in because of the results of the curse he laid.
