Here's what I want! This vast underground pool stretches for miles! And it isn't water... it's liquid oxygen, at 250° below zero! That bat is frozen instantly by its splash! Ha Ho! Captain Marvel failed to stop me! I'll leave a note for him! The liquid oxygen, heated to the boiling point, will make a terrific eruption of gas! There goes the thermite!

Synopsis for Captain Marvel: "Captain Marvel Battles The Pressure Peril"
The earth shakes from the forces of Captain Marvel and King Kull exchanging blows in an underground cavern. Kull distracts Marvel by tipping a giant rock formation over on him then running off, until he finds a cavern with a giant lake of frozen oxygen. Kull then throws a thermite bomb into it, expelling all the oxygen above ground into the atmosphere. The overabundance not only makes everyone too disoriented to stay upright, it also starts blotting out the sun and causing a new ice age. Captain Marvel flies into the asteroid belt and finds a meteor that's almost pure magnesium, that erupts and burns up the excess oxygen when Marvel flies it into Earth's atmosphere. King Kull manages to escape to his underground lair in the meantime.

Synopsis for Captain Kid: "The New Member"
Captain Kid and the local club are being attacked by rock-throwing bully “Bullhead” Boanes. None of them feel confident enough to fight him, but Captain Kid decides he’ll use reverse psychology to throw off Boanes, offering him to come in and that appeasing him may make him accept them. Pudgy immediately calls this a bad idea and warns that Boanes will just make the club worse. They all decide to vote for Captain Kid’s idea, but mostly because they haven’t got any better ideas. They extend a white flag and call for him to enter the clubhouse as a prospective member if they have a truce. Captain Kid offers all he must do to earn his place in the club is their initiation. Pudgy blindfolds Boanes and threaten that they’ll “wash his hair with acid” and instead rub some soap and water into his hair. However, Captain Kid doesn’t notice that yellow paint has spilled into the water and Boanes now is an impromptu blond. They try to fix it by applying blue paint (they don’t have any black,) but instead it just makes his hair turn green. Captain Kid rushes to fix this by shoving a curled black wig on to Boanes’ head and clips it a little to almost resemble his original haircut. Boanes tries to comb his hair, but the whole wig falls off, exposing it. Captain Kid insists he look in a mirror to confirm his hair isn’t gone, but instead sees that it’s green. Bullhead soon starts seeing red and beats up everyone in the club and reducing their clubhouse to broken beams.

Synopsis for Captain Marvel: "Captain Marvel and the Dog Dilemma"
Herman Klodd is a handyman and gardener who feels ill-treated by his rich employers, who treat their prized animals better than him. To that end, Herman takes the rich woman’s French poodle and uses his Ego Exchanging Machine that he built in his spare time to switch minds with the dog, who is also named Poopsie. Meanwhile, Poopsie is confused and trapped in the body of a stocky middle-aged man, confusing and upsetting New Yorkers. Billy Batson notices this and calls SHAZAM to summon Captain Marvel, who tries to detain the canine man while Herman finds out that Poopsie eats dog food and dog treats, is expected to jump through hoops for entertainment and is spanked by his owner if he refuses to not entertain people and then locking him in his doghouse for a couple hours. Herman manages to dig his way out while Captain Marvel finds Poopsie grabbing a raw steak in his mouth at a local butcher’s shop. Captain Marvel brings Herman to his employer, Mrs. Van Dyke, saying he needs medical attention, but she instead shouts about her dog being missing. Herman is soon seized by the tail by a tramp who decides he wants a new dog to kick around and is reduced to cowering in a corner from his violent new owner. Captain Marvel manages to follow his tracks and punches out the violent hobo and takes him to jail for animal cruelty and dog theft. The doctor says that Poopsie is clearly a crazy man who needs to live in a mental hospital, but Herman lunges for him and gets Captain Marvel’s attention, then uses a paw to write that he’s Herman and shows him the Ego Exchanging Machine. The two minds are reversed again and Herman now appreciates his life of not being a dog. Captain Marvel notes that Poopsie is probably happy being a dog again too.

Synopsis for Captain Marvel: "Captain Marvel and A New Home for Billy"
Billy moves into a new apartment at Haven House. After a prowler sneaks into Billy's room and sets the landlady's laundry on fire, he meets Dexter Knox, a child prodigy who uses a device he invented to put out the fire. Dexter lives next door, and invites Billy over for supper. Mr. Knox has been an invalid for ten years, and Dexter hopes to invent something he can sell to ease his family's money issues. When Dexter shows Billy his lab, the prowler from before, Gus Crummly, ties them up and steals Dexter's fire-smothering gun. After they escape, Billy transforms and goes after him. He catches Gus in the act of trying to show off the device to the fire department (responding to a fire Crummly started), but Captain Marvel catches him, and Dexter's family is set up nicely with the patent money for Dexter's fire-suppression device.
