Synopsis for Captain Marvel: "Captain Marvel Battles Hallucination!"
Doctor Sivana has a dream where the green colored people of Earth worship him, which is all he ever dreams about. However, his dream becomes a nightmare when Captain Marvel punches him off his imagined royal throne and is upset that he’s been defeated 387 times from Captain Marvel preventing his world conquest. Meanwhile, teen telecaster Billy Batson is having a nightmare where Sivana is trying to kill him with a comically-large bomb and wakes up to call SHAZAM to summon Captain Marvel to go track down Sivana proactively and visits Dexter Knox to see what he can do about tracking down the World’s Maddest Scientist. Suddenly, Captain Marvel seems to see Dr. Sivana just walk directly into Dexter’s Private Laboratory, forcing Captain Marvel to shove Dexter suddenly to keep him from shooting at him! However, when he recovers, Dexter says Sivana was never there. Similarly, Captain Marvel dives to grab Pa Potter trimming his hedges when he sees Sivana trying to pull a gun on him too, but Pa Potter says he didn’t see Sivana either! Dexter presumes that Captain Marvel is hallucinating, but Captain Marvel is the World’s Mightiest Mortal and decides it might be something else, patrolling the neighborhood. Later, he goes to Station WHIZ and finds Sivana trying to take potshots with a ray-gun at Mr. Morris, who is confused to see Captain Marvel doing dramatic bodyguard dives in his office for seemingly no reason. When Mr. Morris is confused and offers Captain Marvel get some rest, even the World’s Mightiest Mortal becomes worried about just what’s going on!
However, at that moment, Dr. Sivana gleefully utilizes his Selective Invisibility Belt, which lets only Captain Marvel see or hear him, seemingly making him look like he’s attacking nobody in public, scaring and confusing passersby. Captain Marvel decides to return Billy rather than risk him being a threat to the world and the police and a mental health orderly start looking for him. Billy resolves to never call his magic word again and is forced to announce on Station WHIZ to say that Captain Marvel has given up forever, then goes home to cry in bed. Dr. Sivana continues his psychological attack. Billy sees Dr. Sivana hanging from Dexter’s chandelier like a chimpanzee at the zoo, making Billy start to question his sanity too and asks Dexter Knox to help him seek treating at an asylum via voluntary commitment. Suddenly though, Dexter Knox leads Billy to the backdoor of the State Asylum and he says he knows he’s not crazy, whispering in his ear. Billy confirms that he’s right and calls SHAZAM, confident in his abilities again. Dexter finds that Sivana is ranting about new regimental institutions of his rule at the corner of Oak and Archer St at his own ad hoc Sivana TV System. Captain Marvel quickly punches him over and arrests him, giving the Selective Invisibility Belt to Dexter Knox to let him reverse-engineer it. Sivana demands to know how he figured him out or he’ll go insane, but Captain Marvel refuses. Later on, Dexter tells Billy again that both he and Captain Marvel saw Sivana, so it likely was Sivana being up to something. Billy plays catch with him and says that Sivana has all the time in jail to figure it out himself!

Captain Kid is confident he won’t be fooled as he asks him to find a left-handed hammer to fix his desk. Captain Kid takes a long time searching for it among a chest of many hammers before a lady leans in and tells him that there’s no such tool in existence and he’d better put all those hammers back! She further encourages he instead find her some invisible carbon paper, but instead uses up all of it to find it until an older boss comes in and points out those also don’t exist before he asks him to find him some soft pencils, which Captain Kid thinks is another joke. He breaks them on the boss’ head and the other boss returns, saying that soft pencils aren’t made of softer wood, but have softer lead. Captain Kid gets confused about who is the boss in charge and finds it’s the elderly man shouting at him and not the gray-suited man who inveigled him into this. Synopsis for Captain Marvel: "Television Trickery"
Timmy Tinkle, a robot who carries things around for Station WHIZ-TV, has a secret curiosity on cameras and wants to be a cameraman, but he doesn’t think Mr. Morris will let him. Billy says he’s supportive of Timmy’s goals and exposes his own secret ambition: running a marionette puppet show that he has yet to successfully sell to Mr. Morris despite his skill. They try to ask him while he’s in a good mood, but find Mr. Morris is furious after seeing another puppet act from Garsh Puppets. Timmy Tinkle tries asking anyways and is roundly rejected. Despite this, Mr. Morris is very willing to listen to Billy’s idea over puppeteer Anton Garsh who never rehearsed and was constantly late and had terrible puppets. Instead, he’s willing to offer Billy his spot! Timmy expresses a positive and ambitious spirit to become a TV Cameraman. While Billy starts The Marvel Marionettes, Billy’s broadcast is ruined when someone lobs a tear gas grenade into the studio and Billy is forced to call SHAZAM to summon Captain Marvel, who finds that Timmy has managed to take the camera to fulfill his new life’s dream. Captain Marvel decides to finish the show, but wonders if the ambitious Timmy threw the tear gas in to get the cameraman job by any means necessary. Afterwards, he confront Timmy, who panics and runs away to hide in a storage room. In reality, Anton Garsh, failed puppeteer, threw the tear gas bomb as he gloats to himself about how Timmy will take the blame while he also tear gasses Stage 2 where they’re filming a space adventure show. To solve this while filming, Captain Marvel dresses up like a dragon wearing a space helmet and flaps his dragon wings to clear the air of toxins while Timmy films him and gives up, expecting he’ll be stigmatized, but Captain Marvel says he’s figured out Garsh is behind it and punches him in the head when he enters the room. Captain Marvel further admits he was pretending to blame Timmy initially to smoke out where the real gas master was in all of this. Later, a much more positive Mr. Morris says that Billy Batson’s The Marvel Marionettes will be a weekly show and Timmy Tinkle can be a WHIZ-TV Cameraman!
