Synopsis for "Captain Marvel a Murderer?"

Billy's sitting in a seance with a Mr. Warren, but reveals how the entire experience is faked, then becomes Captain Marvel when the fake spiritualist attacks him. That night, Ahmi the Swami discovers Captain Marvel's secret identity by reading his comic book. He sneaks over to Warren's house and hypnotizes Billy, who becomes Captain Marvel and goes downstairs. When the haze in his head clears, he finds Mr. Warren dead, and the gun that did it in his hand. The police arrest him, but they can't kill him in the electric chair because he's indestructible. While waiting for a train to take Marvel to the state pen to serve out a life sentence, some of his fans come up and protest his innocence. His fighting spirit restored by this show of devotion, Marvel slips away by changing back to Billy. He goes to Shazam's cave and summons the wizard's ghost, who tells him that hypnosis can't be used to make someone do anything they wouldn't do normally. Realizing who must be behind all this, Marvel confront Ahmi the Swami. After a few socks, he confesses that he actually killed Mr. Warren, and staged things so it seemed Marvel was the murderer.

Unfortunately for him, Klang drinks unpurified gasoline and goes on a murderous rampage. Confronted by his creation, Bram tries to call Billy for help, but has his skull crushed.

Captain Marvel catches up to and battles the robot, but tries to keep from destroying the mechanical one. With a precise blow he knocks Klang to pieces, but the brain is still intact. Marvel reassembles him, and the robot is no longer evil. He goes to work in a foundry to help the war industry.
