Synopsis for "The Monster Society of Evil, Chapter 5: Captain Marvel Meets Mr. Mind"
A brown-furred polar bear wanders by and notices Billy's frozen form, accidentally tipping him over and shattering the ice before he suffocates. Captain Marvel, deciding to take the fight to Mr. Mind himself, uses the magic pearls to find the mysterious mastermind's hideout and sees a strange castle on a distant planet.
Marvel flies to the castle and smashes his way in, and finds and knocks out a goat-like humanoid, surprised at how easily he caught and defeated his nemesis. The voice of Mr. Mind mocks him for thinking it would be so easy, and Marvel also encounters an indestructible robot and an octopus with a human face, until Mr. Mind tells him those were all just false bodies he projected his mind into.
Marvel changes back to Billy in a desperate bid to lure out Mr. Mind while he's vulnerable (and dismissively brushes away a caterpillar on his shoulder). This works when Mr. Mind as a mustachioed strong man springs out and captures Billy and tries to use knockout gas on him before giving him brain surgery to turn him into a loyal slave. Billy manages to change to Captain Marvel, who finds Mr. Mind is a foe worthy of his mettle as the two of them are both so strong it takes hours of battle for Marvel to finally knock him out. Mr. Mind only mocks him again, saying he's slipped through the heroes' fingers and Marvel never even figured out what he really was, and flies to Earth in his spaceship.
