Captain Marvel Adventures #32 is an issue of the series Captain Marvel Adventures (Volume 1) with a cover date of February, 1944.

Synopsis for "Deep in the Heart of Dallas"

Captain Marvel makes a visit to Dallas, Texas and leads a giant parade in his honor. Much to the frustration of a Dr. Foozle, who insists the city is about to be invaded by mole-men but can't get anyone of importance to listen to him because all anyone can think of is the prestige of having Marvel visit the city. Foozle sets out on a desperate plan to assassinate Marvel, knowing he'll face the death penalty for killing the hero but deciding delivering his warning is more important. Of course Marvel is completely unhurt by Foozle's bullets, which only bounce off and break his glasses. This does get the World's Mightiest Mortal's attention, allowing Foozle to explain his findings that there is a small planetoid that rotates under Earth's crust inhabited by mole men which is due to pass under Dallas very shortly.

Indeed, houses and buildings start sinking into the ground soon after, stolen by the mole men. Billy is taken captive when a building he's inside is lowered to the mole men's world, but he manages to become Marvel again and fight his way free, taking the mole men's king captive as he goes.

Marvel ties the king to a stake as bait and uses a tank lid to block the sun in an area around him, making mole men rescuers think it's safe to come out. Marvel then reveals the sun and the other mole men are lassoed by a posse of cowboys. The mole men repent and return all the buildings they stole before their world spins away from the surface for another thousand years. Dr. Foozle is surprised to find he'd actually been working with Captain Marvel to save the city the entire time.

Synopsis for "The Monster Society of Evil Chapter 11: The Firing of Great Big Bertha"

Billy manages to transform to Captain Marvel by writing an insulting message to his guard with his foot. The guard attacks him, getting the gag so Billy can say his word and easily out knock out the guard. Marvel then manages to move about unnoticed because the Crocodile Men handily have a tradition of mounting their old rulers' heads, letting him steal one as a disguise. It holds, with Jorrk and Herr Phoul ordering him to come along to help collect shells for Great Big Bertha.

Getting sweaty in his disguise, Marvel is spotted out of his mask and attacked by the other workers. Because of the enormous explosives being kept there, the first shock of the battle destroys the entire munitions plant, killing Jorrk, Herr Phoul and all the other workers.

Spared by his divine invincibility, Marvel flies after Mr. Mind himself, who desperately fires off the two shells that already arrived, aimed at Russia and the United States.
