Synopsis for "Captain Marvel Runs For President"

A gentleman named Philip Buster tries to talk Captain Marvel into accepting a nomination, but because of the noise of a construction crew outside, Marvel mishears the man and thinks he's being asked to run for President of the United States. Though unsure of his ability to govern, Marvel's innate honesty compels him to agree to run if he's really the candidate the people want.

Gangsters make several attempts on his life, fearing what a president like Captain Marvel would mean for members of the underworld. This convinces Marvel that he can't be president, as his war on crime is always his main priority. He delivers the news to Buster, only to find out that Buster wanted him to become the president of the local chapter of the Order of the Moose, not of the entire country.

Synopsis for The Monster Society of Evil Chapter 20: "Mr. Mind's Book"

The Black Death Ray melts the metal gag off Billy's face, just in time for him to transform and deflect Sylvester's bullets. Mr. Mind slips down an escape chute and blows up the lab behind him. Although Captain Marvel's unharmed, it cuts off any chance of Marvel catching his enemy.

Since Captain Marvel thwarted all his grandiose plans, Mr. Mind decides to resort to propaganda about why he should be ruler of the world. He writes a book called Mind Kampf about his plans to spread evil. Mr. Mind has his minions hand it out for free on street corners. One of them takes Billy back to Mr. Mind's publishing house, figuring they could use a copy boy. Before he can change to Captain Marvel, Mr. Mind has his monster henchman Evil Eye hypnotize Billy, who Mr. Mind has use his radio broadcast to promote Mr. Mind's agenda.

Back at the publishing house, Evil Eye accidentally snaps his fingers, breaking the trance. Billy changes to Captain Marvel, and Evil Eye hypnotizes him. Marvel only pretends it worked, and after messing with Mr. Mind, starts tearing up the publishing house. In the course of the fight Mr. Mind is knocked onto his printing press and about to be crushed.
