Synopsis for "The Tall Stories of Jonah Joggins"
Old eccentric Jonah Joggins is telling a pair of young local boys a tall tale about how he personally knows Captain Marvel, and helped him out in a battle against evil. The story's interrupted when Erik Mynheer, an oil baron who owns all the surrounding land, tries once again to buy the plot he lives on. Billy and Steamboat show up to interview Joggins, who launches into another tall tale about how he saved Captain Marvel from a deadly trap placed by Sivana, which Billy of course knows never happened. Privately, Joggins explains he tells his stories because the local kids think he's a hero, and he doesn't want to lose that. Mynheer and some henchman show up to try to chase Joggins off his land, which contains valuable oil deposits he doesn't know about because he never drilled deep enough.
Joggins was knocked out in the brawl between Marvel and Mynheer's underlings. One of his young fans heard the noise and checks in on him, revealing he looks up to Jonah, even though he knows none of those wild stories of him being a great crimefighter with superhuman strength are true. Marvel and the boy come up with a plan together. When Jonah regains consciousness, he finds Captain Marvel tied up in the corner, letting him actually have the honor of rescuing the hero he said he had many times before.

Synopsis for "Captain Marvel Has a Dull Day!"
Billy's been keeping track of the statistics of all of Captain Marvel's mighty deeds, and transforms to let the hero see exactly how many runaway trains he's saved, cannon shells he's caught, falling safes he's saved people from, etc., in the last month. Seeing these numbers actually makes Captain Marvel feel bored about his heroic exploits, as he's done so many of all these harrowing deeds, they've become routine. The hero decides to take Steamboat up on an offer to go do something exciting.
On the way, Captain Marvel saves a child from being hit by a truck, catches the projectile from a cannon fired at him by a vengeful criminal, and holds a bridge together when Japanese spies bomb it, so a military convoy doesn't fall into the river below. All of which the hero deals with while hardly emoting. Finally, the captain and Steamboat get to a shack out by a lake and go fishing.

Synopsis for "The Monster Society of Evil, Chapter 25: The End of Mr. Mind"
Mr. Mind's last two henchmen abandon him at a pier. Rather than give up, Mr. Mind tries to get off to a fresh start by killing Billy Batson all by himself.
He sneaks into the radio station building, and manages to knock Billy unconscious with ether gas, but only then realizes he's just a tiny caterpillar and can't kill a giant human by himself. He tries to inch an electrical wire over to electrocute Billy, but the boy wakes up and changes to Captain Marvel. He calls in all the police in town, but they don't find anything until Captain Marvel calls an exterminator instead, who flushes out the evil worm.
At Mr. Mind's trial, his own lawyer refuses to defend him. The jury don't even leave to deliberate before handing down a guilty verdict. Mr. Mind is sentenced to the electric chair. Later, Billy Batson visits a museum where Mr. Mind's stuffed remains are put on display, the evil caterpillar's reign of terror finally over.
