Synopsis for "The Slayer on Skis"

Billy's on hand at the ominous Spook Mountain, which is being developed into a winter sports resort. He collects quotes from everyone on hand at the grand opening, but Chief Blackheart of the tribe that's always lived near the mountain warns them that settling the mountain will arouse the wrath of the Wendigo. One skier trips a booby trap and releases an angry bear. Captain Marvel throws it right over the mountain, but is worried by such a thing, since it means someone's deliberately making the area dangerous for visitors.

Chief Blackheart comes back to warn Billy about the wrath of the Wendigo, just before the "Wendigo" himself skies down and clubs the chief over the head. Billy transforms and pursues the killer, but when Marvel strikes his fleeing enemy, the Wendigo explodes!

Billy goes back to investigate the site where the Wendigo exploded, only to be captured by the returning villain. He takes Billy to a cave as bait for Captain Marvel. Once the villain leaves, Billy manages to work his ropes away on a sharp rock, only to realize the cave's rich with diamonds. He transforms and flies down the mountain after his attacker, knocking out the "Wendigo" and saving an imperiled starlet in the process. Marvel explains that the "Wendigo", actually the man whose wealth was financing the sports resort, discovered the diamonds and tried to scare people away by posing as a skiing monster to keep anyone else from discovering the diamond mine before he could empty it for his own gain. With that established, Marvel jams him headfirst into a snow drift up to his knees to keep him secure until the police pick him up.
