Sivana hears about the different celebrations and decides to ruin them to spite his enemy, only to apparently find the World's Mightiest Mortal on hand at each one. The true Captain Marvel chases him back across the international date line, and technically catches Sivana the day before he got up to his mischief.

Synopsis for "End of the World"

Billy's sent to interview Joachim Jybber, a prophet of doom who predicts the world will be destroyed in a mighty atomic explosion. Trying to save Billy's life, Jybber drags him into an ark-shaped spaceship and they blast off. Not long after they crash, landing in an "Oriental" country. After Cap finds a dictionary in the library, he learns the language at super-speed and tries to find out where they are. The man he asks turns out to be a scientist who's just invented a pair of bombs, either one powerful enough to destroy the world. One accidentally gets armed, and while looking for it Cap instead finds the one that wasn't set to go off, and the world's destroyed, just as Jybber predicted. The invincible Captain Marvel survives and is blown through space, past Earth. He realizes Jybber's prediction was true, but they'd been on another planet the whole time.
