Cardinal was one of St. Batman's enforcers for the Order of St. Dumas thirty years after he took the mantle from Bruce Wayne.

History

Cardinal and his partner Torchbearer were commonly dispatched to maintain order in totalitarian controlled Gotham City.

During the League of Assassins' siege on Gotham to depose St. Batman and reinstate Bruce Wayne as the Bat, Cardinal was distracted by Bruce Wayne's new nanite bats and accidentally decapitated Torchbearer before seemingly being thrown down a hole to his death.
