Powers

Bang Baby Physiology: Carlos's interaction with the mutagen that created any number of metahumans during the Big Bang gave the eponymously named Fade an ability to weaken his own molecular cohesion enough to become physically insubstantial.^[2]
- Intangibility: Fade's main ability is to bypass material obstructions in his path.^[2]
  - Phasing: Carlos can become phantasmic in nature in order to ghost through solid objects like walls, floors and ceilings.^[3]
- Dimensional Travel: When Carlos loses control of his powers, he keeps fading out of different realities. It has yet to be shown if he has ever managed to master this ability.^[4]

Abilities

Multilingualism: Carlos is fluent in Spanish and English.^[2]

Weaknesses

Power Instability: It is harder to come back from the ethereal state than it is to enter it.^[3]

Notes

Fade (Carlos Quinones) was created by Dwayne McDuffie, Ivan Velez, Jr. and Trevor von Eeden, first appearing as part of Milestone Media in Blood Syndicate #1. However, in the rebooted Earth M continuity, his first appearance is in Blood Syndicate: Season One #1 by Geoffrey Thorne and Arianna Turturro.

He has a boyfriend named Eddie, also known as Silke,^[5] but previously he was dating a man named Mike.^[4] And he also doesn't hide his lust for the superhero Icon.^[2]
