- For hearts long lost and full of fright,
for those alone in blackest night,
accept our ring and join our fight--
love conquers all with violet light!- — Star Sapphire src
Carol Jordan[2] is the Star Sapphire of the Justice Guild of Earth 11, the counterpart of Green Lantern in most other worlds of the Multiverse.
History
She and Hal Ferris, the "Hal Jordan" from her world, had a relationship, but they broke up.[3]
When contact with the Starheart was lost thanks to the Green Lantern Core, a radical splinter group of the Green Lantern Patrolmen attacking Domus Amoris, Carol and the rest of the Justice Guild went to investigate, but were trapped in an alternate dimension along with the Star Sapphires' city.[4] The Guild eventually escaped thanks to a beacon Aquagirl sent out, finding that Teen Justice had already defeated the Core's leader, Sinestra. Finding out from Aquagirl that Hal redeemed himself by giving his life trying to stop the Core, Carol mourned him before taking Sinestra away to answer for her crimes.[5]
