The Carpenter is the criminal alias used by Jenna Duffy, an enemy of Batman who uses her carpentry skills to make lairs and death traps for his enemies. Originally she was a pickpocket and con artist operating out of Keystone City, but she moved to Gotham City when she attracted unwanted police attention. There she joined the Wonderland Gang at the same time as the Walrus, with the duo naming themselves after another duo of the characters featured in Lewis Carroll's novel Alice in Wonderland.
The Carpenter was created by Paul Dini and Dustin Nguyen, first appearing in Detective Comics #841. (2008)
