Abilities

Transportation

  • Engine 2999, a streamlined "Hudson" type passenger locomotive
  • Engine 94. a big, modern, fast-freight, steam locomotive

  • This character is a fictional representation of Casey Jones, a real person. More information on this person can be found at Wikipedia.org.
    • In this case, the Quality Universe Casey Jones is very different than the real Casey Jones (living in a different era, for one), but there is no indication that the Quality Jones is supposed to be a descendant or successor of a 19th-century Jones, so it looks like Casey Jones was just different in the Quality Universe.
  • Jones pulled mail trains on USRR with a New York Central passenger train locomotive.
  • United States Railroad's route from Chicago to Los Angeles makes it a direct competitor for the Santa Fe Railroad, and it co-exists with several big western Real World railroads. Union Pacific, Santa Fe, and North Western railroads are all mentioned in newspaper stories about robberies.
  • It's normal, somehow, in the Quality Universe, for a single steam locomotive, and crew, to run from Los Angeles to Chicago with no crew changes.
  • Casey Jones' favorite engine, on the United States Railroad, is #94, a big, modern, fast-freight, steam engine. The art never shows this locomotive clearly enough to "count the wheels" and discern what type it is.
