Cassandra Cain is Batgirl, daughter of the great assassin Lady Shiva and an ally of Batman.
History
Unkillables
On the second night of the Anti-Living attack on the planet Batgirl was protecting Commissioner Gordon at the Gotham City Police Department where she mercy-killed Harvey Bullock when he got infected before they could be rescued by Red Hood. They left the city for Bludhaven and found an orphanage attacked by the Anti-Living and decided to stay and protect it.[1]
She was found by her mother, Lady Shiva, who tried to convince her to leave with her but she refused. They were later reunited when Wonder Woman attacked their safe house and forced Lady Shiva and many other villains to seek refuge at the orphanage where they trained the children to survive before a now Anti-Living Mirror Master attacked and infected Bane who ripped open the gates of the orphanage, letting the Anti-Living in.[2]
Grundy dealt with Bane and Batgirl and the children managed to get away ultile they were attacked by Wonder Woman who took out one their vehicles forcing Batgirl to get off to get the children to safety. Before she could be overwhelmed her mother joined her and was wounded, forcing her to take out her own heart in front of Cassandra. Wonder Woman then lifted and threw the bus they were on but where saved by Mary Marvel, who defeated Wonder Woman and took them to safety.[3]
Dead Planet
When the heroes learned that Trigon was going to invade Earth to destroy it Cassandra joined many other heroes and traveled to Nanda Parbat to steal the Spear of Destiny, after they got it they traveled to the Rock of Eternity where Captain Marvel, Jr. attacked and killed Red Hood. Cassandra managed to find the Wizard's staff and obtained the powers of Shazam to kill Captain Marvel, Jr.[4]
When Trigon attacked Earth Cassandra helped the other heroes who were keeping the Amazos at bay while Constantine sacrificed his life to kill Trigon.[5]
War of the Undead Gods
Cassandra was among the heroes who traveled to the Sun to cure Superman.[6]
When the threat of the Undead Gods became clear she traveled to Oa with the other heroes to ask for the help of the Green Lantern Corps, when the Guardians of the Universe refused to help and stated that the corps was going to sterilize the infected worlds Superman stated that he would not allow it and Cassandra quickly took his side. After a fight broke out Cassandra fought Kilowog and the other Lanterns under Ares's influence before they were stopped by Mister Mxyzptlk.[7]
During their final fight against Darkseid's Anti-Living forces Cassandra was one of the many heroes who fought the God of Apokolips and helped hold him down while Lobo forced the cure down his throat.[8]

Powers
- Divine Empowerment: After grabbing the staff of the Wizard in the Rock of Eternity Cassandra gained a connection to the gods that granted Shazam all of his powers.[4]
- Transformation: By saying the word "Shazam" Cassandra can transform in her superpowered form.[4]

- Strength of Hercules: Cassandra has enough strength to fight and kill an Anti-Living Captain Marvel, Jr.[4] Her blows are strong enough to make an Anti-Living Superman bleed, even as he was supercharged after spending five years in the sun.[6]

- Invulnerability: Cassandra can survive being hit by the combined heat vision of two Amazo androids.[5]
- Self-Sustenance: Cassandra can survive in the vacuum of space without discomfort.[6]
- Power of Zeus: Cassandra can generate magical lighting capable of damaging an Amazo android.[5]

Abilities
- Martial Arts: Batgirl is an extremely skilled fighter, able to easily kill a man[1] and keep up with her own mother in a fight.[2]
