Cassius Payne

Cassius Payne was the fourth criminal who adopted the alias of Clayface in Gotham City, making him an enemy of the Batman Family. He is also the son of Preston Payne and Sondra Fuller, who was kidnapped by the serial killer Abbatoir to use him to blackmail Cassius's parents. After Preston did as Abbatoir told him to do, he returned Cassius to his parents. Later, Preston was arrested and Cassius was taken to S.T.A.R. Labs. Payne has been involved with the Mud Pack and the Secret Society of Super-Villains.

Cassius Payne was created by Alan Grant and Bret Blevins, first appearing in Batman: Shadow of the Bat #26 (1994).
