Africa is a large continent with a wide variety of pantheons. Following the African diaspora as a result of the slave trade, the religions of the West African people spread to the Caribbean, where they became known as the Loa of the Voudun. Several African heroes derive their origins from these deities and spirits, including Vixen and Nubia.
- Olorun and the Orishas, of the Yoruba in Nigeria.
- Ale of the Igbo in Nigeria
- Anansi of the Akan in Ghana
- The Miungi of the Swahili people.[1]
Despite not being a homogenous group, they are sometimes mixed up or mistaken, much like the Gods of Greece and Rome.
