Well... The Joker was this wild, crazy rebel, doing whacked-out things on his own terms and having a great time doing it, without worrying about the consequences. It's like, the way he lived his life gave permission to all the kids who hated their teachers, or parents, or whoever, to do whatever they wanted, to not have to listen to anyone else. I was all for that. Also, he was creepy. People were scared of him, and I thought that was schway.
