Hey, I'm glad we've stopped putting characters into the gay category by default, but now it looks like we're no longer using the gay or bi categories even for characters who are confirmed to be one or the other. Is this the new policy? I'm okay with merging this all into one massive category, but I'd like to be informed. Thanks! Drewzirocks2 (talk) 02:57, 22 May 2022 (UTC)

I have placed them in the homo-/bi-/pan-/asexual categories when one of these identities is confirmed (within the story and/or outside of it by the writers, or when it is a minor character who is unlikely to have further development in their sexuality [like most Amazons with same-sex interests]), otherwise I'll put them right here in this umbrella category (especially when they're not human [aliens, gods, magical beings, etc.] and/or lived in past times). In fact, I believe that most LGBTQ+ characters created or rewritten as such in recent years were not officially labeled, but were nevertheless placed in the homo- or bisexual categories, like DCEU Peacemaker (I used to do that myself before I became more aware of it).
