Mrs. Cathy is a former opera singer who fled her previous life and took up a disguising pseudonym to avoid her ex-fiance Orson Payne, who was a dangerously obsessed fan.
History

Working in her later years as a housekeeper for Bruce Wayne in his Wayne Foundation penthouse "Cathy" was dismayed to hear the name of Orson Payne on the news when the local station did an interest piece on him as an eccentric millionaire living in Gotham. She'd fled across the country to get away from him decades earlier and scoffed at the reports' description of their engagement. "Cathy" modeled for various artists over the years and Orson, upon discovering the artworks done in her likeness, started collecting them even when the owners were unwilling to sell to him.
Her history was uncovered by her employer after her long time stalker stole a painting of a mermaid that looked like her in her youth from an art exhibit put together by the Wayne foundation. Bruce assured her that he'd keep her secret and that she could keep working for him living a simple life in obscurity.[1]
