Catherine Hamilton Kane is the stepmother of Batwoman (Kate Kane).
History
A scion of the wealthy Hamilton family and heiress to the Hamilton Rifle Company millions, Catherine married officer Jacob Kane and so became stepmother to Kate Kane. Though at first their relation was cold and distant, once Catherine discovered Kate's double life, she joined her effort.

- Catherine Hamilton Kane was created by Greg Rucka and Ken Lashley, first appearing in 52 #7. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Catherine Hamilton Kane first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Batwoman (Volume 2) #0 by J.H. Williams III and W. Haden Blackman.
