Synopsis for "Kitty Cornered"

While attempting to steal an ancient Mongolian dagger, Catwoman runs into a rival gang of thieves after the same prize. In the ensuing struggle, Catwoman is flung from the roof of the rival group's getaway van, and thrown into the windshield of a police car. Unconscious and badly injured, she is arrested by the Gotham City police.

After recovering, Catwoman meets a mysterious man named Galiant, who tells her that she is now in the custody of a federal espionage agency. Catwoman is unimpressed with the agency's efforts to coerce her into working for the government, and manages to escape from her cell, only to discover that she is trapped atop a mountain range with no means of transportation. Soon after, she is recaptured, and reluctantly accepts her new "career".

As "insurance", Galiant and his underlings plant a special cyanide capsule beneath Catwoman's skin, which will allow them to execute her via satellite signal if she does not obey the agency's orders. Subsequently, the agency gives Catwoman her first assignment: steal the Crown of the Swan King from the former prince of an Eastern European micro-republic.
