The Central Core is a secret facility deep underneath Atlantis housing a advanced supercomputer built by Mera.[1]
History
The Central Core was built by Mera in her spare time since becoming Queen of Atlantis. In the past, Aquaman himself found no situation to have use of it himself significantly. The Central Core would later be the main hub from which Atlantis launched its secret spacefaring program, which included the use of the Speed Force as fuel due to being unlimited.[1]
During the Voidsong's attack, it was once of the few places in which their influence did not hold due to its depth, owing to how Aquaman would dodge its parasitic song upon its arrival on Earth. Aquaman would reveal the location to Flash, who later deduced the Voidsong's interest in Atlantis despite its purpose to consume the Speed Force and having been one for a long time. Aquaman would then reveal Atlantis' secret space program using the Speed Force and his research, having taken it from the Justice League's database, an act Flash considered a breach of trust and privacy, and Flash would deduce that their usage of it is what attracted the Voidsong.[1] Although this briefly shook their friendship, Flash would forgive Aquaman and the pair would defeat the Voidsong.[2]
