Synopsis for "Undead"

At a morgue, several corpses seemingly come to life. Across town, Clay debunk a supposed alien hostage's story on a talk show. The mayor enlists the Challengers to investigate the rash of seeming lethal overdoses that have resulted in these "zombie" bodies becoming reanimated. They encounter some of the zombies in an alleyway who briefly attack them before being corralled into a police wagon. Marlon notices that the zombies are seemingly reviving from the dead faster than they were before and are aggressive.

The Challengers head to a nearby night club and find police inspector Santo with the same track marks of the zombies, seemingly overdosed to death on the dancefloor. Drug kingpin Mustafa is at the club and insists that his concoction does not kill anyone but frees the users' minds from Western civilization. He intends to drug the Challengers but they escape just as a legion of zombies chase them.

Brenda theorizes that Mustafa is somehow broadcasting into their brains and the drug merely makes them more receptive to the signal. They duck into an electronics store and Kenn arranges several speakers to set up a subsonic frequency to disrupt Mustafa's stranglehold on them. It works and they double back on Mustafa before he can escape. His interrogation reveals that the mayor is actually directing him—his goal was to make drug addicts productive members of society. Santo arrests him and the feds shut down the program; the Challengers leave with another successful operation completed.
