Challengers of the Unknown (Volume 3) with a cover date of April, 1997.
Synopsis for "Threshold"
In Dayton, a homeless man is assaulted in an alley. When the police investigate, they find him turned inside out and decide to escalate the case to the Challengers of the Unknown.
At Edward Sands' estate, the team gets the news and Marlon flies the team out to Ohio. Brenda speculates that the human has been rotated through the fourth dimension. At a nearby prison, Harlan Clooney intimidates his guards.
Clay drives the Challengers into a fourth dimension event in progress but they are unable to stop it from happening. His body turns into a portal into another dimension, sucking up passersby, including Marlon before imploding. The rest of the team goes back to their hotel and finds Marlon standing outside, claiming that he just took a nap after fighting the inside-out monster. Kenn suggests that he may have been in two places at once—ever since the four of them survived a plane crash, they have been beset by weird events.
